# The black signal

Lorsque j’ai entendu ruisseler sous ma chair ces eaux  
qui se font mer - qui se font taire  
J’ai tenté d’explorer leurs mondes en plaçant mon vaisseau dans la variable  
  
En quête de mots  
gravés dans les fiches d’un passé éludé  
j’ai construit les lignages d’un routage ajustable  
qui dirige ce flot  
  
Marchant tout droit vers cet océan d’étoile  
je me suis vu dans le ciel construire une nouvelle toile  
devenir luminescent  
en drainant tout ce qu’il me restait de sang  
pour sentir ma lumière émaner jusqu’au soir  
et mon coeur lui - rester noir  
obligé de faire pleurer sa sève  
de couler pour atteindre ses rêves  
  
Quand l’eau à tout noyé pour aller nettoyer  
la lave s’est installé pour alors réchauffer  
Nous laissant dures nous laissant sures  
  
Sur cette terre rouge  
marquée par les corps qui ont traîné en son sein  
saignant d’abondance et soumis à l'errance  
C’est en ces lieux que le soleil brûle d’impuissance  
  
Alors je reste terre et air  
je laisse ma chair à mes autres merveilles  
en plongeant dans les étoiles je deviens lave et étincelle  
à séparer la fleur du sel je deviens brave et essentielle

*Sound artist and performer. Fallon explores new ways of listening, with the aim of cultivating alternative understandings and perceptions of self, others and environments.*

*Disrupting conventional approaches within immersive sonic explorations, and manifesting the relationship between fictional existences and cultural experiences, the work taps into voices, rhythms, sonic cosmologies, and vibrations of multiple worlds. Through narratives that have survived Chaos, the artist constructs poetical club landscapes and support systems of black diasporic experience.*

*Mostly using electronics and technology as tools to share, feel and listen, the artistic production leads to an analysis of the audible and the inaudible, the unspoken and the unspeakable and to the sensible and the sensitive inside and outside sound. Fallon’s work lays on interstices and connections to understand the place of voices, the role of silence, the activation of sounds, both an exploration of senses and narratives.*
