Modern Jazz Quartet (MJQ) was a musical ensemble known for their delicate, complex compositions combining bebop drumming with baroque-style counterpoint. Its core members were Milt Jackson, John Lewis, Percy Heath, and Connie Kay. The Swingle Singers were an a-capella vocal ensemble founded in Paris in the 1960s.
